Can’t Leave Alone Bars


  • 1 18.25-oz. pkg white cake mix
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 14-oz. can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 6-oz. pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup butter cut in cubes
  • -powdered sugar


  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease 9x13-inch pan; set aside.
  2. In large bowl, combine the dry cake mix, eggs and oil; mix well.
  3. Press two-thirds of the dough into prepared pan; set aside remaining dough.
  4. In medium microwave-safe bowl, combine sweetened condensed milk, chocolate chips and butter. Microwave on high, 45 seconds; stir; microwave 45 seconds longer, or until smooth.
  5. Pour chocolate over crust layer in pan. Drop teaspoonfuls of remaining dough over chocolate layer.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until lightly browned. Cool completely. Sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired.
